“Motor Safety” is a campaign launched by male students at the United Arab Emirates University, from Mass Communication department in the year 2019. The campaign was part of their graduation project that was supervised by Professor Shujun Jiang.
Our campaign basically focuses on sending message to the public’s mind, to drive safely, always take precautions and safety measures before driving. To inform experienced drivers about local traffic laws - and don't take risks. Obey traffic lights, signs, speed limits, and lane markings; ride with the flow of traffic and leave plenty of room between your vehicle and other vehicles.
The aim of this project is to promote safe driving and to help drivers understand what is good for their vehicle and how to avoid unfortunate events with their vehicle.
We started our campaign by distributing brochures on the 27th of February about our campaign. Secondly, We did two interviews and uploaded them on youtube, one was with a success car workshop owner and the second interview was with a car accident survivor. We also conducted a workshop on the UAE university campus which was attended by professors and students from UAE University. We had a presentation on motor safety, statistics as well as car and road signs. Our mission is to raise awareness about vehicle safety, show the UAE university students and faculty members how to check upon their vehicle before driving, help people understand the different engine signs and other signs if there is any problem with the vehicle.
The campaign EXPO will take place on Wednesday 1st of May in IT hallway from 10 A.M. Until 4 P.M.
